Core Concepts
In Sufi tradition, the heart (qalb) is the seat of spiritual perception. Unlike the physical heart, the spiritual heart is the center of divine consciousness within each person.
The heart must be purified through:
• Constant remembrance (dhikr)
• Meditation and contemplation
• Service to others
• Sincere repentance
A purified heart becomes a mirror reflecting divine light, capable of perceiving God's presence in all things.
Key Insight
"The heart is the throne of God; clean it and He will sit there."
