Spiritual Stations
Spiritual Poverty (Faqr) is the fourth station, where the seeker recognizes complete dependence on God. Faqr is not material poverty, but awareness of one's absolute need for divine sustenance.
This station includes:
• Recognizing God's ownership of all things
• Acknowledging personal powerlessness
• Developing complete trust in divine provision
• Letting go of self-reliance and ego
• Practicing generosity and sharing with others
• Finding strength in submission to divine will
In faqr, the ego is stripped away, revealing the soul's true nature as completely dependent on divine mercy.
Key Insight
"True poverty is the wealth of the soul - complete reliance on God's infinite riches."
